NEET PG 2021 COVID-19 Guidelines

The National Board of Examinations is committed to conducting the NEET PG 2021 examination scheduled to be held on the 11th of September 2021 in a smooth and safe way.

Looking at the recent COVID-19 cases throughout the country, the NBE has decided to include protective measures for the aspirants. In this blog, the candidates can check complete information regarding the NEET PG 2021 Covid Guidelines implemented for conducting the exam with safety.

Increase in the number of test centers

Due to the number of COVID cases, the NBE has increased the number of examination centers and testing seats across the country. Candidates who have chosen the option “OTHERS” will be allotted test centers within the state of their correspondence address, thus avoiding any inter-state travel.

Issuance of COVID E-Pass

Along with the NEET PG Admit Card, a COVID-19 E-Pass is also issued to the candidates. The E-Pass is for the perusal of police & administrative authorities to facilitate the movement of the applicants in case of any travel-related restrictions.

Staggered Entry of the candidates at the test centers

To avoid crowds at the test centers, the NBE has decided to create time slots for the students to report. Candidates must reach the center at allotted time slots as communicated individually through emails and SMS.

Isolation Labs

The temperature of the candidates will be checked at the entry point using thermo guns. However, if a candidate is detected with mild COVID Symptoms, then he/she will be allowed to take the exam in a separate isolation lab.

Facemasks are mandatory

Candidates will not be allowed to enter the test centers without appropriate protective face masks. Bottled drinking water will be provided at the examination center. Hence, the aspirants have to just carry their NEET PG Admit Card, and Photo ID Card for verification.

COVID-19 Protective Gear Safety Kit

All candidates will be provided with a protective gear safety kit consisting of a face shield, a face mask, and 5 hand sanitizer sachets. Wearing the face shield is mandatory throughout the examination. However, the face shield has to be taken off during the registration process and whenever the face ID is verified during the exam.

Staggered Exit of the students

Soon after the completion of the exam, the students have to leave the test center in a staggered manner in order to avoid crowds. The exit process is likely to be completed over a period of 1 to 1:30 hrs.

If a candidate is unwell, or is proven COVID-19 or having COVID Symptoms then he/she has to refrain from attending the exam. It is mandatory for all applicants to adhere to these instructions as part of COVID Appropriate Behaviour.
