MRCP Part 1 Examination Format
The exam will take place online or in an exam center. It has a two-paper format. Each paper is 3 hours in duration and contains 100 multiple choice questions in the ‘best of five formats. The best of five refers to – when several choices may be plausible, but only one is the best answer.
The aim of conducting the exam is to test the core knowledge and comprehension and to assess the ability to interpret information and to solve clinical problems. Each correct answer carries one mark. However, there is no negative marking. Visit the official website- mrcpuk.org for more details.
