HealthPlix EMR Drug-Drug Interaction Feature: What You Need to Know

HealthPlix, the business disclosed that it intends to integrate with international third-party suppliers who focus on drug-to-drug interactions in order to expand its database or knowledge.

HealthPlix Technologies announced its new drug-to-drug interaction (DDI) feature. The company reports that DDI is an intuitive feature that helps doctors write prescriptions quickly to help decrease the time spent by doctors.

“The feature is live on the HealthPlix platform and optimized for prompting these interactions while the doctor prescribes the medicines to their patients. Currently, doctors rely on support from external websites/platforms to understand these interactions which adds onto the total time taken to write prescriptions. With HealthPlix, doctors stand to benefit from the information being made available to them within the HealthPlix EMR,” the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

Doctors can now input information from a patient’s diagnosis into the HealthPlix app and get prompted with relevant interactions, saving time and allowing for more accurate prescriptions.

HealthPlix’s interactive cloud based EMR platform allows us to nudge the doctor with key medical information at the point of care. Proud of our product innovation team,” Chaitanya Raju, Chief of AI, HealthPlix Technologies said in a statement.

Furthermore, the company is also working on increasing their database size by integrating with global third-parties who specialize in drug-to-drug interactions.

Healthplix is launching an EMR system that will help doctors make better decisions.

“HealthPlix strengthens the health-tech ecosystem,” said Subhadeep Monal on Thursday, “by improving healthcare delivery by making it more specific for each patient.” Healthplix Technologies is working to make sure doctors are aware of potential interactions between incompatible drugs with the new Drug-Drug Interaction feature of their app.

“The new feature is quite useful in providing potential interactions between drugs prescribed. The best part is that this data is shown on the screen, but not printed out on paper. In addition to prescribing medication, DDI provides suggestions for drugs appropriate to the next treatment course.”

HealthPlix announced their intention to continue increasing their database of drug interactions. By integrating with third-party providers, they hope to go from 20,000 to 30,000 by the end of 2020.

Prior to DDI’s acquisition, HealthPlix had already launched a number of products such as Doctor Insights Dashboard, Patient Summary Dashboard and Mobile EMR.
