NEET PG is a medical entrance test conducted by the National Board of Education (NBE) for the students who want to take admission in PG Diploma courses or MS/MD under several medical universities or institutions in the country. The NEET PG Exam for 2022 will be conducted for 10,821 MS (Master of Surgery), 19,953 MD (Doctor of Medicine), 1,979 diploma seals, and 6,102 government, central and private seats for students in various universities and institutions. 

NEET PG is one of the most competitive exams in the country. It is the sole opportunity for medical students to get admission to undergraduate courses in India. There are millions of people who register for the NEET PG exam every year. So, it is essential to start preparing for the exam a year before the entrance test. NEET 2022 Exam Pattern: Pros and Cons

The number of questions has increased to 200. However, students are required to attempt only 180 questions out of 200. To have edge students are required to increase their speed and accuracy as the duration of the exam is 180 minutes. Students are supposed to answer 10 questions out of 150 in every section B of the exam. However, students must have extra time to read all the questions and answer them accordingly. If students pay extra time on a single question, they might not get to see all the questions and end up answering the wrong ones.

NEET PG 2022 Exam Analysis

The exam paper of the NEET PG 2022 consists of the following points:

• The exam paper will be a mixture of the clinical, one-liner, and image-based factual questions. The clinical part will be 40%, one-liners will contain 40%, and image-based questions might contain 20% of the question paper. 
• No match for the following type of questions or multiple correct questions is there in the exam.

1. Candidates can start with the ideal order of the exam paper, i.e., Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. 
2. In Section A, candidates are required to attempt all the questions. There is no choice, unlike Section B. Section A consists of 140 questions, comprising 560 marks. So, it is essential to solve all the questions as it is one of the most important sections. This section should be completed in 100-110 minutes.  It will give time to the candidates to fill the OMR sheet and allows them to mark the questions for later. It also allows candidates to look over all the attempted questions and check the answers. 
3. Section B allows candidates to attempt only 10 questions out of 15. It usually takes 40 minutes to complete Section B. If candidates are confident with the attempted questions, they can stop looking at other questions. 
4. After completing both Section, A and B in 100-110 minutes and 40 minutes respectively, students will be left with 30 minutes. In these 30 minutes, candidates can check the unattempted questions that they marked for later. They can check the problems and re-attempt without pressure.

The tips and tricks for attempting the question paper are as follows: 

• Don’t start with answering the questions initially. Analyze the question paper, take a deep breath, and start. 
• Start answering the questions in a sequence. 
• The best strategy to answer the questions is to start with the easy questions and then the hard questions. It will help you save time later in the exam. Once you’re done with all the easy questions, go back and attempt the difficult questions you marked for later.

Cover the entire syllabus 

The first step is to cover the entire syllabus and prepare beforehand. Don’t start preparing for the exam a month before. Instead, prepare 4-6 months in advance.
