NBE to conduct NEET PG in March 2023

The National Board of Examinations (NBE), which made the final decision on whether MBBS graduates would take the National Exit Test (NExT) test or the NEET PG exam as a stepping stone to postgraduate medical programmes, announced that it would hold the NEET PG exam the following year.

According to a recent notice released by the exam conducting agency, the aforementioned exam is provisionally set for March 2023.

The tentative date for the upcoming NEET-PG 2023 examination is March 5, 2023, according to a recent notice from NBE dated 16.09.2022, which released its Tentative Calendar for the upcoming examinations.

The NBE letter, which indicates that the highly anticipated National Exit Test (NExT) won’t be held anytime soon, provides some clarification to the PG medical hopefuls who have been anxiously awaiting any information regarding the upcoming entrance exams.

Medchronicle had earlier reported that NExT, a common exit exam envisaged by the government to standardize medical education across the country, was proposed by NMC as a part of the bill passed in the year 2019. The exam is set to replace the NEET PG and FMGE exams.
